What pledging should mean to you…
Pledging with the Gunner Martin Foundation means that you recognize that water safety is our responsibility as adults.
You also recognize that when you are around bodies of water it is your duty to pay close attention to your children, as well as any and all children in and around the water.
The difference of a few minutes is a matter of life or death.
This pledge means that you make water safety your number 1 priority when around the pool or an open body of water. If a child falls in the water and cannot swim, you are the first line of defense!
As a Water Watcher I pledge to…
Always watch the children around the water, stay distraction free and put down my phone, scan the bottom of the pool regularly, and call for help in case of an emergency.
